Why Ecuador? Something tingles in your heart when you think about your country, either because it takes you back to your best memories or because the people you love the most are linked to these places where you feel comfortable, as if those places belong to you in one way or another.
Ecuador is unique; people like to say we are a small country with a giant heart. In this modest land there are four distinct regions: Coast, Andes, Amazon and the Galapagos Islands. These four regions coexist within one country, each with it’s own characteristics that differentiate one from the other, from culture and ideology to its flora and fauna.
In this opportunity, we took advantage of the benefit of being so close to the beach. For a moment we were able to disengage from the hectic life in Guayaquil, leave everything behind in order to embark in this project to be able to exhibit one of the wonders this country has to offer, it’s beaches.

Moreover, people say art is therapy. It was definitely wonderful to combine art with the energy from Salinas and express ourselves through these photographs. Daniel, doing what he does best with his camera; and me, seeking to capture with my body the pride I feel of being born in this land.
